Another tragedy for Sushant Singh Rajput’s family; actor’s sister-in-law passes away

As per the provisional post-mortem report of Sushant Singh Rajput, the “provisional cause of death is asphyxia due to hanging”.

As late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last rites were being performed in Mumbai on Monday afternoon, his sister-in-law breathed her last in Purnia, Bihar.

Sudha Devi, the wife of Sushant’s cousin, reportedly could not cope with the loss of the Bollywood actor. Sudha Devi passed away when Sushant’s funeral was being conducted in Mumbai on Monday.

The report mentioned that she had stopped eating after she was informed about Sushant’s alleged suicide.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s last rites were held at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle last evening amid heavy downpour.

Casting director Mukesh Chhabra, actor Kriti Sanon, Rajput’s friend Rhea Chakraborty, his ‘Chhichhore’ co-stars Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor, producer Ekta Kapoor, actors Vivek Oberoi, Randeep Hooda, and Prateik Babbar, and singer Udit Narayan were present at the Pawan Hans crematorium.

Sushant’s father and his two sisters had arrived in Mumbai from Patna last morning. A few of his friends and colleagues from Bollywood and the television industry were also present.

Sushant Singh Rajput was on Sunday found hanging in his Bandra residence. He was 34.

The actor had become a household name with the TV show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ before entering Bollywood.  His performance as Manav Deshmukh had touched millions of hearts.

Rajput then made his debut on the big screen in 2013 with ‘Kai Po Che’. It was the beginning of his amazing career. He earned praise for his performance in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, and ‘Chhichhore’, among others.
